As the mother of 6 amazing kids, Jill realized early the value of creating, treasuring and protecting memories. Her initial foray into the crafting world was focused on counted cross-stitch, needlepoint, sewing and smocking. She even had a small children’s custom clothing business for a short time. Whim So Doodle, in its early days was known as “Whim Sew Doodle” and focused on fabrics and sewing supplies.

As her children began to grow, Jill was drawn into the world of scrapbooking, rubber stamping and documenting memories through creating pages, shadow boxes, cards and albums filled with those “special moments” in life that you want to remember forever. Her passion grew so strong, that in the mid 1990’s Jill’s Whim Sew Doodle became Whim So Doodle and her passion for fabric, sewing, rubber stamping, paper crafting, scrapbooking and mixed media art has defined the inventory that Whim So Doodle carries today. She is constantly looking for the “latest” art opportunities and strives to make sure that Whim So Doodle carries the products that our customers need. Jill’s passion for planning, organizing, home decorating and antiques can now also be seen throughout the store. There is an amazing inventory of planners, gifts, home accents and more.

Jill also views Whim So Doodle as a ministry, a place where creativity can be expressed, friendships and fellowship can be developed and opportunities to grow are always present. Capturing and honoring special memories is Jill’s mission for the store. Jill focuses on what is really important; faith, family, friendships and fellowship.
